Meet Hey Woun
My music journey started with the piano at the early age of 5 then I added the cello at the age of 8. I hold a BA in Music and Cello Performance from South Korea. My studies then took me to the University of Potsdam Germany where I received a scholarship, eventually achieving another BA and MA in Music Education. I achieved a Teaching Certificate for elementary school in Berlin and Brandenburg, Germany. With another post graduate scholarship from the University of Potsdam, I completed my PhD in Education.
I have performed in numerous orchestras and chamber music over my career. Being principle cellist in many symphonies which included the Opera Appassionata, the North Shore Opera Society Orchestra and the West Coast Symphony Orchestra. I have also been performing chamber music for charitable organizations such as Genesis Safe House and fundraisers for spinal research.
